This study enlisted 82 college students categorized as “highly anxious” and assigned them to a computer-based task that demanded sustained attention.

Subsequently, the students were randomly divided into two groups. One participated in a 10-minute meditation exercise, while the other constituted a control group that refrained from meditation.

The students who engaged in meditation were able to redirect their focus away from internal concerns, allowing them to concentrate more effectively on the task at hand.

This recent research illustrates how rapidly and efficiently a brief 10-minute meditation session can dispel distracting worries that hinder your progress.
