Obesity turns on your immune system and keeps it active, causing inflammation.
Studies are supporting the association of  excess weight  with inflammation that can cause damage to your brain.
Inflammation damages the arteries throughout your body by increasing clotting, forming plaques in arteries, and causing insulin resistance.
The largest brain imaging study of over 17,000 middle-aged participants found that the more excess weight a person has, the greater reduction in blood flow, particularly to the parts of the brain, damaged most by Alzheimer’s disease.
Obesity is often due to a lifestyle of eating too much and exercising too little.
The key to losing weight is by following an anti-inflammatory lifestyle including:
  1. Eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, seeds, and nuts,
  2. Restricting red meat, processed meats, sugar-added foods, and sugared drinks,
  3. Limiting foods like refined grains and other refined carbohydrates
  4. Daily physical activity — exercise
Improve your overall health by eating a nutritious diet, regular exercise, quality sleep, a positive attitude, and regular chiropractic care.
Visit your chiropractor regularly and make sure your nervous system is functioning 100%.
